Leadership and dependability are two words that hold true for Josh Taffer. At the age of 22 he had graduated from the US Naval Academy with a Bachelor of Science in English, been to the east coast of Africa and Gulf of Oman on a counter-piracy deployment, and effectively led the operations of every weapon and piece of ordnance onboard a Ticonderoga-class Cruiser. His desire to be a present father and husband surpassed his call to service when over a 4-year span, he had spent more time at sea than on land. A change needed to occur.
He decided his service should not end with the Navy and choose a profession where he could continue to have a large impact on an individual’s life. That profession was a Financial Advisor. Josh has been in the industry since 2014. Through always putting the client first and leveraging a tenacious aptitude to learn he was able to receive one of the highest awards at Wells Fargo, the Golden Spoke award. An award that only goes to the top 2% of customer facing team members. His dauntless pursuit of being client centric has led him here to Sound.
“I worked at 3 different major firms and interacted with advisors from multiple others. I truly believe no other group of people will and can do more for their clients than the individuals that work at Sound Financial.”
Josh Taffer is married to another USNA graduate Anna and they currently have 2 children, Colton and Evelynn. They are active at Broadmoor church in Madison. The Taffers are constantly enjoying the outdoors. When possible, they are at the beach or his grandparents farm.
